
Can’t go to the gym? No need to worry. We can get a good work from home workout in with minimal equipment. I like to use resistance bands, you can get them for around $20 bucks on amazon. I also use hand dumbbells, these can be pricey. The more the dumbbell weigh. The higher the price. I have 1 set of 10, 15, 20 and 25. I bought them over a span of a few months. Other things you may want for your home gym is a jump rope, battle rope and exercise ball. I put my home gym together for only a few hundred bucks. Having the equipment is good but you don’t need none of that stuff. You can get a perfectly good workout in by only using your own body weight.
Exercise #1: Warm up
If you have equipment, jump rope or battle rope for 1 minute. If you don’t have equipment. Do jumping jacks for 1 minute.
Exercise #2: Push ups
Do 3 sets of 20. Do squats with hand dumbbells or do body weight squats in between sets.
Exercise #3: Arm curls
Do 3 sets of 20. Do these with resistance bands or hand dumbbells. Always do squats in between the sets.
Exercise # 4: Shoulder Press
Do 3 sets of 20. Do these with the hand dumbbells. Do squats in between the sets.
Exercise #5: Bent over Row
Do 3 sets of 20. Do these with resistance bands or hand dumbbells. Do squats in between the sets.
To finish the workout, do jump rope or battle rope for a few minutes.
All this will take roughly 20 minutes. Add aerobic activity throughout the day. Take a 1 mile walk 3 times per day. We should be able to walk a mile in roughly 15 minutes. So with about 60 minutes used out of your day, we can stay fit and healthy with this work from home workout.
